Installation of voip phone service is not an up hill task. Any one can do it if he follows the few instructions given on the concerned website. Once get connected, voip phone behaves just like an ordinary landline phone. However, its voice quality is many times better than the landline phones.

I have come to know that if we use voip via soft phone, we don't have to configure complicated devices like adapter, router etc. Is that true.

Best thing about VoIP service is that does not bound you to use some particular phone. You can use it on your computer as well as ordinary touch tone phone after adding a little adapter. As far as your question is concerned, the answer is yes. You don't need any routher or adapter if you are using internet phone on your computer. However, you will have to install a soft phone (kind of software) to use it on your computer.
