Nigeria is a kind of country that is widely known for its festivals that are celebrated ancestrally. If you are looking for a place that celebrates festivals all over the year, then Nigeria is your final destination. Nigerians celebrate their festivals with a lot of sonority, merriment and spine-tingling warmth that is delighted by the whole world. Festivals of this country are famous because they reflect and possess the Nigerian culture, tradition as well as the ancient practices. Dance is the other important element of Nigerian culture as it is used as a signifier of expression and felicity. Festivals like Eyo, the Shadi, Durbar, Benin and Shango are most of the prominent celebrations.
The festival of Benin is one of the major festivals of Nigeria. Young men and women of the village are fascinated by this event and are ceremonially exhibited before each other to be introduced. Some say that the festival helps young people to find their life partner and to move further in life with happiness and passion. This festival comes about by the end of showery season when the villagers have collected the harvest. In ancient times, women simply danced in order to celebrate the festival, nonetheless these days the girls are clothed in felicitous colors. The head girls of village, tribe or clan present themselves by wearing lots of heavy armbands and ornamental leg. These girls elaborately braid their hair with colorful beads that adds more charm to their look. Boys equally do a lot for the preparation and presentation; they participate in a tug-of-war, as they have to show a piece of their forcefulness and obligations.
Since the Benin festival is a very big festival, a lot of money is required for the celebration. It's actually celebrated by the rich people who can easily afford the expenses but the best thing about the festival is that it is open for the poor as well. The villagers are openly allowed to join the festival ambiance. For those who visit the country during these festival days are amazed to see even the glimpse of it. It's always good to see a lot of people dancing, enjoying, filling air with colors, joy and music throughout the year in one place that can't be seen anywhere in the universe.

Nigeria is a culturaly rich country. Most people assume Nigeria another poverty stricken country. I would like to tell you its economy is one of the strongest in Africa. The tourism industry is the vital pillar of economy. Besides natural beauty it has so much to enjoy and pamper u.
Absolutely right!! Nigeria's economy is highly dependent on its tourism. Government should focus on its tourists attractions. They should promote its festivals throughout the world and this can only be done when government will start to support these local festivals to make them world recognizable.

Yes 100% Nigerian festivals something unique but to see the real color of national festivals you should be in Abuja, Lagos, Kano or Jos. These are most popular and bustling cities of Nigeria. All national festivals should be attended in any of the above mentioned city. These cities depict the real culture of Nigeria
